Envelope automation in clips not functioning

Ableton> 4.0.1
Problem>

1. I record some automation using Auto Filter onto arrangement view
2. I copy the filter using ctrl>Alt>C
3. I Paste into the relevant envelop in the clip (in this case Frequency)
4. It doesn't automate when the clip is played (always) - sometimes it does! I can't pin point what is causing the problem

I'm experiencing similar problems with other ableton effects when pasting automation from the arrangement view.

Is there a functio to copy the clip including all automation from the arrangement view so the whole lot can be pasted into the session view?

I wonder the same: I like to improvise using a midi-controller. Which could result in a arrangement automation using lots of different parameters. To make this into a clip, it seems I have to copy every automation envolope and paste it into a session clip envelope. Consolidation doesn't work here. So, can you make clips from the arrangement that includes the automation:?: [/b]
