MBP Santa Rosa bug seems to have dissapeared?

Post by Kodama » Sat May 16, 2009 9:03 pm

Not sure if it's L8 or any number of Apple updates or a recent firmware update, but it seems like the CPU now always clocks up correctly without using cool book?

Anyone else notice this?

Bumping this!

I hate that I have to run a program to get my MBP to run at full potential. It would be very good news indeed.

Good to see this massively irritating problem addressed. Hopefully we'll see more reports of this!

Is anyone interested in performing a test? Run a heavy-duty session with & without Coolbook & post the results.

I'd do it myself, but haven't installed & configured Coolbook yet.

If this has been "fixed" then I'd be especially interested to know what the fix was. Hopefully it's not 10.5.7 cause that doesn't help someone on 10.4.11.

hmm it does seem to be 10.5.7 , but i upgraded to live 8.0.2 at pretty much the same time. Apparently 10.5.7 improved battery life on hackintosh netbooks so maybe that jiggery pokery has also free up the santa rosas to work properly too.
