Splitting MIDI clip doesn't work properly in Live 4.0.1

Post by MotorMind » Sun Aug 08, 2004 2:43 pm

When I try to split a long midi clip (with ctrl-E), it doesn't really get split up into seperate clips. All that happens is that you get several copies of the original clip, with the begin-of-clip marker set to the spot on which I tried to apply the split.

And what is the rationale behind this? It don't think it works very well... is there a way to corcumvent this behavior? (Maybe another option?)

Why do you think it won't work well? Do you have any problems with that?
Splitting MIDI just works like splitting audio.

If you want a new clip with everything outside the region stripped, use the
Consolidate command.
