Splitting MIDI clip doesn't work properly in Live 4.0.1
When I try to split a long midi clip (with ctrl-E), it doesn't really get split up into seperate clips. All that happens is that you get several copies of the original clip, with the begin-of-clip marker set to the spot on which I tried to apply the split.

Why do you think it won't work well? Do you have any problems with that?MotorMind wrote: And what is the rationale behind this? It don't think it works very well... is there a way to corcumvent this behavior? (Maybe another option?)
Splitting MIDI just works like splitting audio.
If you want a new clip with everything outside the region stripped, use the
Consolidate command.
