Removing voice overs

Post by Airbase » Wed May 20, 2009 1:14 pm

Hey guys. Got a question for you!

I was watching this documentary. The music in the background is however interupted with loud narration all the way thru. I'd like to remove the voice over just enough so I can tell how the melodies goes. So does anyone know of any software that would do that?

And no, I'm not trying to remove it all together, I know that's virtually impossible. But if I could just reduce the narrator a bit, that'd be fine.

Adobe Audition has a centre channel remover that may work, assuming the voiceover is panned dead centre.
Toshiba Satellite Pro (old now)- Win XP, Homemade PC - WinXP, M-Audio FSU, Live 8, Korg Nanos, Arturia Moog, Novation LE25.
