Bugfix update Live 8.0.3 is online!

Post by Alex » Wed May 20, 2009 1:52 pm

Hi folks,

we just released a Live 8 bugfix update, Live 8.0.3.
Just use the "Check for Updates" command from Live's help menu or check http://www.ableton.com/download-live?v=full .
If you are a Suite user and have installed all content then it is enough to download the Live versions instead of the Suite.

The list of improvements and bugfixes coming with Live 8.0.3 are documented here:

Kind Regards,
Alex

Nice!

Also, I'd like to thank the Abes for improving the hosting situation at ableton.com. Some might remember the not-so-distant past when downloading Live meant dealing with timeouts, no resuming, moderate to slow speeds, and lots of complaining on the forum. But, I just pulled down the 8.0.3 update at 11.9Mb/sec, so I guess something got fixed somewhere. :)

Small thingy: I had 8.0.2 Suite installed and installed the 'normal' Live 8.0.3 version like you suggested.

It works fine, but now when i start 8.0.3, the new grey Suite splashscreen (that came with 8.0.2) is back to the normal Live splashscreen.
Is there a simple way to change that or should i just download the 8.0.3 Suite and install that?

It's just a cosmetic thing i know, sorry to hassle you guys. :) The grey splash is just so nice.

8O You guys rock!

The last 2 updates was really quick. I haven't even had time to update to 8.0.2 yet.
So I guess I can go straight from 8.0.1 Suite, to non Suite 8.0.3 update?

I got the same exact thing. However, quitting and restarting Live seemed fine, and authorizations for all the various instruments seemed to be in place.

Same thing here as well. A little annoying but as long as it works...

Did you read this part:
