This is killing me. I seem to get the first few beats, then it will just start repeating an old buffer. This is after having cleared the buffer with the clear button. Overdub is OFF

Repro:
Settings: Record= X bars then green play arrow, song control=none, Tempo control=Set & Follow song tempo, Quantization=Global

1. Make sure Live's main transport isn't running
2. Route audio to the looper input(steadystate synth chord or test tone)
3. Press Clear to clear the buffer
4. Press the multi-purpose button>Wait about 5 seconds>press it again

Result:
I get playback of the synth tone, then I get silence for eternity. Other times instead of silence I get the contents of an already cleared looper buffer.

Any suggestions?

Fireface800 with Aurora16 and Rosetta 200
Mac Pro 2.8 8 core

Try contact ableton support...

I've contacted support, but other than a confirmation email, I haven't heard from them.

This problem is very reproducible on my machine.

Did you write to customercare instead of support?
Make sure to write tech. issues to: [email protected]

Thanks Christian. I did get a prompt response from support. The problem sorted itself in the end. I wish I knew why.

Guru, BFD2, and ezdrummer are still incompatible(AU) with 8.03 for me, but that's another thread.

I'm getting the same thing, can't sort it. live 8.02 and 8.03. when I can get it to work it plays an older buffer. it's also only responding to 0 or 127, IOW it takes two pedal presses to launch it. the pedal won't work from the APC either. too much is going wrong to go into it on a Monday night.

tried renaming my preferences file, didn't help anything.

Any news about this matter? have been wanting to use the abletonlooper instead of sooperlooper for some time now. impossible due to unstable looper.. particulary that it starts playing the previous loop... please...

today's it's clearing the buffer but even when the progress blocks are orange it's not recording input.

FIXED!!

I had MIDI Yoke inputs set to Track In On (their only active setting), I turned that off and all is well.
