Is there a way to write out an error log file when Live 4 crashes? I would like to get some clue as to what the cause is. It disappears from my desktop if I leave it open (but not playing or recording) & then I have to reboot my computer to reload it - it also crashes during use without any message. I have tried it using only those VST effects I used sucessfully with live 3.01, but no luck.
Live 3 was the most stable PC-based audio app I have used & the Live 4 beta apps ran beautifully - I can't make any sense of this. I will go back to Live 3 until 4 gets the bugs out.

Hi Lars,
Live always generates its own log file in "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Ableton\Live 4.0.1\Preferences\Log.txt"
The "Application Data" folder is hided by default so maybe you have to change your settings to get this file. Please mail me this log file.
If I understand you right, you just open Live, leave it and after a while it disappears?
