Im thinking about getting rid of my mpd32 and getting an APC40 but just wondering a couple of things that I cant figure out... I use pads on the MPD32 to send program changes to a track with massive - do I need max4live to be able to do this with the APC40 ? I also use some pads to control the functions on looper like undo, speed, x2, /2 etc. It looks you can reassign buttons on the main APC40 matrix to do this kind of thing so that sounds ok but what happens if you move the matrix to another section of clips ? Will my re-assigned buttons stay as they are whilst the others change to reflect the new set of clip slots ?

Trade in MPD32 for APC40 ??
Re: Trade in MPD32 for APC40 ??
Why not keep both?

+1
I own a mpd32 and if a day arrives the time to buy an apc40, I would surely NOT resale mine.
You can configure everything on the mpd32.
You'll need max4live to do so on the apc40.
Keep both as said_
or maybe you're short on money and want to sale your mpd32 for buying the apc40_
In that situation I understand

Yeah keeping the MPD32 is tempting although really my problem is that I only want to be taking one controller when I play out. I use the mpd32 more for triggering stuff when im performing so its just a case of whether the apc40 can do that.
If the APC40 cant send Prgram changes one thought would be to have it trigger empty clips that have the relevant program change set in them - would this work ?

Yeah that should work fine. And if you just need a few extra pads, you could get a nanopad too to take out live. Doesn't take up any room.mlangsman wrote:Yeah keeping the MPD32 is tempting although really my problem is that I only want to be taking one controller when I play out.
