Hi,
Suddenly today I cannot oppen any links from help in browser Live 8.03
Message appears hptt://
www.abletone.com /check for update ...etc could not be opened.
There is no application associated with given file name extension
Similar for all links in program ( support , etc.)
What is wrong? With my program or Abletone web pages?
Regards,
Bluesfinger

Hi Bluesfinger,
working fine over here. Please note that the included link in your post includes a typo - clicking the link generates the error message you reported.
Can you still reproduce the problem when selecting "Check For Updates..." from the help menu?
Best,
Jörg

Hi Jok,
All options from my Help menu ( Visit abletone.com, join user forum, getting technical help - menu on the right side
http://www.abletone.com/faq, ceck for updates ) all are disabled with the same message : there is no application associated with the given file name extension.
I re-installed the program 8.03 and executed option on preferences : repair library
but still no success.
I will also email logs from preferences file to abletone support.
Thanks for reply ,
Bluesfinger

Hi jhave,
welcome to the forum. Please contact
[email protected] with the log.txt and your system infos as described here:
http://www.ableton.com/pages/support/co ... al_support
You can also find the log.txt manually here:
Windows XP
C:/Documents and Settings/your user name/Application Data/Ableton/Live (your version of Live)/Preferences
Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is what you have to do to make it visible:
1. Launch Explorer.
2. Select Tools/Folder Options/View.
3. Check "Show hidden files and folders."
Vista:
c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/ableton/live/preferences/
Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is how to make it visible:
1. Launch Explorer.
2. Select Organize/Folder and Search Options/View.
3. Check "Show hidden files and folders."
Best,
Jörg
