MIDI Issue

Post by d.j.r. » Tue Jun 16, 2009 7:30 pm

So I have a Zero 8. On it are 8 endless rotary knobs with 4 banks for those knobs. Is it possible to somehow globally assign those knobs so that when i select a different channel, it auto-assigns those knobs and their banks to the first 4 effect/midi racks i have in that channel. I want ot be able to move between channels and have these knobs and their midi assignments move with me.

Hi d.j.r.,

simply select the Zero 8 as a control surface in the Midi/Sync preferences.
Make sure you use Bank A on your Zero 8: the 8 knobs should automatically be assigned to each selected device in Live (the blue hand indicates a selection of a device for instant mapping).

Best,
