[video tutorials] - Sound Design with Operator now available

Post by Nick the Zombie » Fri Jun 19, 2009 12:50 am

Hey all,

I'm really happy to announce that my new series on sound design with Operator is complete and available now. It's just under 4 hours of video tutorials which cover everything from the basics of timbre and harmonics and how they relate to Operator's interface all the way through creating some practical and not-so-practical sounds with the instrument. The series is completely up to date for the newest version of Operator and Live.

This project has absolutely consumed the last few months of my life, so this is a relief to be finally posting. I sincerely hope that those of you who get the series will benefit a lot from it. It's been a long road!

Here's a link: http://nickstutorials.com/sdop.php

Also, I should point out that I am discounting the new series ($7 off) for those who have already purchased my first two. PM me if you're interested!

Thanks for reading,

- Nick

Bought em. Thanks!

I think I'm fairly decent with Operator but there's alway something new to learn when you watch how other people do things.

Nick, you have completely outdone yourself! This is an outstanding overview of Operator L8, and you do a fantastic job of explaining it from basics, all the way to mastery of FM synthesis. Very very valuable! Well done!!

A bit of a douchy comment, dontcha think? I mean the hours of work that went into this...the fact that it's incredibly well explained, well put together, logical, and helpful...even if you already knew most of it, couldn't you give a few props to the effort and how it might be a helpful impact to the community?
