Not enough disk space. . .?

I just loaded ableton live onto my comp. . im running windows 98. I have it set up through rewire, and everything works fine except when i record the audio from reason (or any other source) it tells me that "the disk is full and the recording has stopped." by the way i only have 120 MB of ram on this computer. . .that's probably what's doin it right? Basically i just want to know if buying more ram will fix the "disk space" problem. thanks in advance. . .

i think 120MB of RAM is below the minimum requirements to run Live, so don't be surprised if it doesn't work well (i'm even surprised it works!).

about your problem, it's not the ram, but the disk space that you've got to look at (your hard drive space).

post all your computer specifications (processor freq, HD space). you may have to change computer instead of adding some RAM!

Thanks for replying. . . I dont know how to check my Processor speed in windows 98. . .if u know how lemme know. . but i have 28.6 GB of open hard drive space. Like i said i have only 120 MB of ram and i'm runnin windows 98 so. . .the errors in ableton live tell me "the disk space is full" but it seems i have a lot of open space when i check it out in the C drive's properties (28.6 GB free, 7.79 GB used) please help thanks!

well, if it says 'disk space', it should refer to the hard drive space, not the ram, and you seem to have enough of it.
you can try to change the temporary recording folder in Live's preferences, but i'm not sure it will help. maybe it's a problem linked to virtual memory.
you can check your CPU speed by right clicking on the 'desktop' icon. not sure how it is named in an english system, but in Windows Explorer, it is the computer icon that is the parent directory of C:. when you right click on it, you have all the details of your computer.

All i did was go to options/preferences and change the audio recording folder to one on my desktop and it works fine now! thanks for the help!

CHanging the temp audio recording file worked!
