Maschine doesn't do ReWire. Use it as a plugin instead.

It's still in development and hasn't gone out to the testers.
And yeah- the end of summer's how I see it.

What info on the controller editor? That's been functioning since the initial release.
I don't get what you mean by the second part, though.

I'd like to know too, also ew what direction do you see maschine going in in the near future does it look like Native Instruments are trying to implement request as they come in or do they have a paticular vision
in mind that they want to adhere to?

They're definitely interested in what the users want. However, you can only do so much at one time; remember that they've got a lot of products that also need updates and the like.

If you're asking can you record Maschine into Live- sure you can.

There's a couple gotchas at the moment, though; at the present, Maschine the plugin or app (not the controller) only responds to note number for the selected sound, clock and program changes for changing scenes. And, Maschine the plugin or app doesn't do MIDI out except for sync. The 1.1 update will add tons of MIDI functionality.

What I do is insert Maschine as normal, and insert audio tracks and use the MIDI to routing to get plain audio tracks. Then, I arm the audio tracks and record those as clips.

hey ew

having some problems recording maschine audio in Live

when you say "insert Maschine as normal" what do you mean? I can load it as a VST plugin but then what?

i can open a project in the instance of maschine but cant control it like normal with the controller...i can select sounds and groups and stuff but the transport buttons dont do anything

I just want to control the maschine app with the controller as if running in stand alone and capture the audio output as clips in Live, similar to what you are describing.

but if I have Live open and try to open Maschine software (ie not as a VST) it freezes completely... apparently cause its trying to access the audio interface that is being used by Live ?(I use a m-audio firewire 410)

also what do you mean "use the MIDI to routing to get plain audio tracks."??

please excuse my noobness

thanks very much

ps im using Live 6

i don't have maschine... (yet)
but if you want to capture the output as a whole (as in you don't want to mix or use further effects on seperate elements), i would think you would start with 1 audio track and 1 midi track... drop a maschine plug in on the miditrack, so as to to play it in live as a plug-in. Then change the 'audio from' in the audio track to 'resampling'. Hit record... jam on the maschine, and then you can use the bits you like most as new clips in live.
I hope this is right.. i'm sure i will be corrected if not.
