Ableton Live 8 unusable in live situations?

Yea, I wouldn't take Live 8 on stage. I did gig with 7, but Live 8 hiccups quite radically compared to 7. Or maybe my computer is just getting crowded. Anyway, luckily I'm just currently recording stuff and producing and there Live 8 beats 7 hands down.

Live 8 is also unusable in a studio situation.
It's the worst piece of shit version of Live I've ever used, and I've tried most versions since 1.1.
It's 8.2.7 now, the stupid "can't locate plug ins" bug still hasn't been fixed yet, and it crashes approximatively 50 times per hour.
