Drum Rack: How can I map multiple parameters at once?

Post by Icct_Hedral » Fri Jun 26, 2009 3:57 pm

hello everyone. So when I slice a live drum break into the preset drum rack, all of the macros are very nicely organized to multiple sampler parameters: decay, sample start, etc.

But when I am constructing a drum rack from individual samples (and a blank rack), I have to map each parameter to a single macro, one at a time. For example, I want one macro to control the decay for 50+ samples, so.. rinse + repeat ..

Am I missing a shortcut here? Is there a way to map a macro to multiple parameters [of the same type] at once?

Thanks for any suggestions!

basically, you can't. its been on the feature request wishlist since the launch of Live 7.

you could map 1 chain's macros, then duplicate that chain, and then change the sample in each chain's sampler/simpler, but that's going to be a giant PITA with 50+ chains.

search for 'map to siblings' in the feature wishlist forum and add your +1, i guess.

just wish i could tap 'alt' when the pop-up contextual menu is open and see this:
