Evolution UC-33 and Korg nanoKontrol

Having some issues setting these 2 controllers up for my live set.

The UC works but as soon as I plug the nano in, the UC stops altogether and only works when I turn it off then on again and have the nano disconnected.

Can anyone help with how to set these up together?

I reckon I'm missing something really obvious!

are they set to different midi channels?
