I was messing around doing mashups and some dj sets and found a cool way to isolate frequencies live. I have all my samples set on tracks for drums, bass, voices, and songs and was frustrated because I didn't have an easy way to pick what frequencies to use from sample to sample on each track. Some sounds I wanted mids AND highs, some I wanted just highs etc. So I routed all the tracks to three returns. Each one has an EQ Three with the first set to play only the low, the second only the middle, and the third only the high. So now I can just raise the volume of those sends and have a lot more options to improvise how I use my clips live.
Anyways I don't know if everyone has already has figured it out but I thought I might share it.
Don't know if this is common knowledge but...
