EbtG Missing Remix (better arrangement than my last one)

Post by vitamin-e » Wed Jul 08, 2009 2:39 pm

Let me know what you think of this remix.

For anyone wondering, yes, that is me singing the "like the dessert's missed the rain" lines. The pella I used had them eq'd out already, and I just got a new mic and wanted to put it to good use. They were recorded in a noisy living room, so I had to apply a ton of effects to kill that, and it made my voice sound weird.

It sounded like one of Van Dyk's creatios. It seems to be telling a story through the beat and the harmony. Are you in anyway inspired by Dj's Paul Van Dyk or Buuren?

Very much so; I don't consciously draw from anywhere, I just kinda do what sounds right, but of course, that all comes from within one's self, and in my case, "what sounds right" tends to be in line with what artists and styles I listen to, PVD and Armin being two primary ones.

One of the lead synth lines in my version was also used in Oakenfold's remix.
