Windows 7 Home Premium E pre-orders Germany

Post by Dalibor Loncar » Wed Jul 15, 2009 8:44 am

all the big online retailers have sold out their Windows 7 Home Premium E pre-orders within an hour. the websites of amazon.de, conrad, alternate, were temporarily off due to the great demand.

a german online retailer called alternate has cancelled the pre-order offer because the online shop went down.

I've just ordered mine off of amazon.co.uk without any problems and it's also on play.com, but for £5 more!

it seems that it´s also sold out at amazon.co.uk

as the amazon.co.uk website states there´s also a pre-order offer for Microsoft Windows 7 Professional E. there was no such offer in germany. i´ve also read that in the us they sold Microsoft Windows 7 Professional on pre-order too.

dunno why the offer wasn´t available for germany.

Honestly why the excitement? Surely it won't be properly stable until there have been a couple of years of bugfixes.

It needs to be out for at least 12 months. Then we are able to grasp any bugs and performance issues from live users on forums.

Ah, I see in answer to my own question that there is a huge discount on it at the moment.

Still, I'll stick with xp until one day I get a new computer, with which windows 7 will doubtless be bundled... if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

indeed it was the discount which increased demand.

atm you´ll find the pre-order win 7 home editions which were sold this morning in some retail stores for almost twice the price on ebay although the ebay auctions started today

I thought the whole point of the rc was fix any issues before the release. I'm having problems with Live but everything else is fine and they may even fix the bugs as they're addressing windows 7 bugs now.
