Have trawled through various threads but no real joy: looking to get a laptop for live performance and for composition/rework (no live recording) away from the studio (will be using my ProjectMix when it's in the studio though) so was thinking along the following criteria:
15.4" screen (any bigger gets cumbersome)
Fast processor (natch) such as T8600
4Gb memory
QUIET - (guess I need an efficiant CPU here)
No more than about £750 (GBP)
Pretty simply so far. I like the Dell Studio 15 just 'cos it has a backlit keyboard and would prefer a PC but other than that I'm open to suggestions!
