When I loop MIDI...

Post by Sebastian » Mon Jul 27, 2009 12:37 am

Hi

Another question

When I loop some bars of a MIDI based tune, very often the Synth tracks wont be heard as the loop happens. The only fix for this has been to zoom in to those synth clips and move the notes to start exactly where the loop begins. So it seems that when I record the synth parts I play them sometimes fractionally before the 1 of a beat and hence when it comes time for me to loop a section (so I can generate new ideas) I have to move the synth MIDI notes right to where the loop point begins.

IS this a confusing question?

;)

thank you

yes,

but if you highlight everything then you can quantize and it will be ok, maybe, if i understand the question

If the note starts before the loop, you will not hear it.
A solution is to activate "Record Quantization", in the Edit menu.

I hope it helps (that would be my first help on this forum , yay ! )
