Currently I went back to using Ableton's Drum Rack.
Basically its Drum Rack on one channel
a simple Delay on Return A
various FX on Return B
and a Reverb on Return C
Sometimes I like bouncing the Entire Drum Sound to an effect in the Returns
Sometimes I want that send to be stored in the Midi Clip, for example maybe a snare hit gets some reverb but not everthing.
HOWEVER I may not want that particular snare to get any reverb in another Midi Clip.
Am I correct here:
To use the Midi Clips parameters, I have to have the send turned up. Only then, when I have the Midi parameter (i.e "some snare" Send C) up, it gets reverb on it for just a hit or two, whatever I automate it for. This will store reverb on that snare with that clip.
Now all of the Midi Clip parameters default to 100%. So basically I have to turn up all of my sends, which is easy now that you can select all the tracks and turn up all the sends at once. BUT! I have to turn down the default 100% on (Sends A B & C) Midi parameters for each sample in my Drum Rack? FOR EACH CLIP I HAVE MADE ALREADY??? And each time I make a new Midi Clip, unless I duplicate? Realizing this is accessed by drop down menus!
Is there a way to change the Default 100% send parameters in all of my midi clips for Drum Rack at once?
Before I went back to a Drum Rack, I was using a Reaktor Ensamble where I could store my sends in the Snapshots, then use the "program #'s" in the Ableton Midi Clip to store it with the Clip. Easy, but I like Drum Rack better on CPU.
ANY IDEAS? Or do I just spend hours or more adjusting parameters.

Re: Drum Rack SENDS FX
it's a pity, but there are only dirty workarounds for this scenario.
one would be to duplicate the snare channel and have one effected and the other one without effect. Then draw your notes accordingly.

Re: Drum Rack SENDS FX
Thats so strange. Especially since the Ableton videos boast such an Un-interrupted Creative Flow. I love this software but some of it's quirks are BASSACKWARDS.
I thank you for the response. However I do not wish to duplicate my channels. I have 2 DrumRacks FULL of samples, and 3 Returns to access. Nevertheless thanks for getting it, and offering up a solution.
I wonder why there is not an option to store send information in DrumRack with each clip.
I wonder why there is not the ability to scroll samples and store that, As I would with a plugin from reaktor with snaps.
I wonder if MAX for Live with make these adjustments possible and not too difficult to figure out.
And why can't I set the default midi parameters to 0% on all channels in DrumRack at once?
FOOEY!

Re: Drum Rack SENDS FX
Use sends in the rack itself and your problem is solved
You just have to open up some extra panels you dont see by default.
