ok first experiment, there's some funky shit going on here...
had 2 clips, noticeably different, each on '1-bar: other' actions.
during playback, selecting the bar position field, and repeatedly hitting the up arrow button (i.e. incrementing bar position at random intervals) results in a perfectly in-time playback, with the reported current clip alternating at 1-bar intervals according to tempo (exacly as tone deft says)
except, the content of each clip seems to be altered in very unpredictable ways. IOW I'm getting a broad randomization of the drum patterns which are supposedly in each clip
all in perfect time, but not in accordance with either clips' content.
the pattern of what i'm hearing in a given measure is not what the supposedly playing clip contains. it may be that the playback is switching somehow between the two clips, but that the GUI is not reflecting it. actually that seems like a reasonable explanation:
clip 1 is playing, transport gets to 1.2.1,
hit the arrow, transport moves to 2.2.1, now clip 2 is playing at that moment, but clip 2 is still cued for playback in 2 beats,
hit the arrow at 2.4.1, now transport shifts to 3.4.1, clip 1 is playing, but clip 2 is still cued for playback at the next beat
4.1.1 hits, now clip 2 triggers off the follow action,
hit arrow at 4.3.1, transport shifts to 5.3.1, clip 1 is playing, clip 1 is still cued off the follow action,
etc
??????
