Quadrophonic panning with dummy clips

Post by jyrgen » Mon Aug 03, 2009 8:42 am

hello,

referring to these rather old threads:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=117148
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=95529

i am new to quadrophonic setups.

My goal is to prepare a piece for four speakers
with moving / rotating mono and stereo material.

I figured out how to set up 4 return channels
fed by the audio tracks. In the arrangement
view i can draw send envelopes and simulate
movements, though on a rather clumsy and low level.

It would be nice to have movement "templates",
i.e. 360 degrees in 2 seconds, front to rear in
1 second and so on. Can this be done with the
dummy clips you mentioned ?

Can someone post a live set with those
dummy clips ? i still don't get the clue
of this concept.
how do you assign them to the actual
audio tracks that stream the music ?

thanks a lot
