Live 8.04 crashes

Post by Resident » Fri Aug 07, 2009 5:40 pm

When i add Freguency shifter in a chain Live crashes sometimes inmediate sometimes after adding a Third party after frequency shifter. I had several other crashes aswell with Third party plugins aswell. One is very obvious and that is BigSeq2 from audio damage.

I'm on Windows XP b.t.w.

Can somebody confirm?

New crash here with adding Sonnox reverb in a chain in seesion view. I searched the forum is it true that Live 8 is a bit unstable at the moment?

works for some, doesn't work for others. there is no single answer to that.

it could also be that your computer is screwy.

i use AD big seq2 and it does not crash here. I'm on a mac though.
8.04 works great for me, but there are certainly some people who are not happy.

if you have a crash that you can reproduce, you should definitely contact support. they will iron it out.

Frequency shifter is crashing Live often for sure when dropping in a chain while playing. I see some people complaining crashes while dragging vst's and playing.

try 8.0.4 and the latest beta. dunno if you can still grab 8.0.3, 8.0.2 or 8.0.1.

do take a look at your computer though, that's part of the equation.

no need to register again, but you never know what might happen. don't uninstall Live 8, if you do need to register again to get Live 7 you might not get an answer over the weekend.

I wish i could say that "ok resident let me write a swimming pool tonight"! Thnaks for your answer b.t.w. i think i will go back to 7.16 and see if ableton can make L8 stable, i upgraded mainly because of the additive ecxtra in operator. I can live without for a while.
