Swicthing Drim Kits while playing live
Swicthing Drim Kits while playing live
Can anyone suggest the best way to do so. Trying to be able to choose kits(custom) on the fly, without having to cycle thru a list or use hands too much.

Hot swap button? Not that I do any loading while playing live- all depends on how heavy your sets pushing your processor. Best way is to load all your kits with effects parrallel in an instrument rack and use a knob midi'd to chain select.
Or, if your like me, mostly use audio instead of midi until you get a more powerfull computer.

You could MIDI remote a footswitch to either chain select from an array of drum racks. Or you could simply load one rack per track and remote the input of each one. That's what I do live: http://www.youtube.com/user/kamoni

I think it's more because when we split dinner costs over here everybody busts out twenty dollar bills while they're counting out exact change. We're friggen' rich show offs over here.McQ714 wrote:hey Beats... this is probably why the east coast hates us californians!!!

And I would add limiting the number of kits you use ( I've had better luck using 5-6 kits than 10-12 kits). And don't go hog-wild on the size of the kits.micah frank wrote:You could MIDI remote a footswitch to either chain select from an array of drum racks.
