Hey guys, hoping you can help me out here. And yes, I did search for this already.
Problems:
-For the last few months iTunes drag and drop causes 75% CPU usage and freezes the GUI temporarily (though audio continues). Also causes some crackling now. This issue seems to get worse the further on I go in my set.
-Small crackles in the background of the master channel now appear to be constant (or were yesterday afternoon in the middle of a gig). This is a new problem, and appears to only happen when I am playing more than a track or two.
System:
Unibody 1 MBP, 10.5.8
Live 7.0.16 (yes it's a legit copy)
Presonus Firebox (running firewire 800 to 400 because of the new ports, though it's never given me a problem before)
UC-33e
Settings:
All programs but iTunes and Ableton closed
Wi-fi and bluetooth off
512 samples, 0 driver correction
No VSTs except Vintage Warmer on the master channel (though I turned it off it doesn't seem to help)
Variety of EQ8s, beat repeats, etc.
