Strange behaviour when warping flac files anyone?

Post by autogen » Tue Aug 18, 2009 6:28 pm

I've got a recurring problem when trying to warp flac files. Often when zooming in to accurately align transients to beat divisions, the waveform display completely disappears to be replaced with a blank area. Audio also degrades to popping and glitching noise or just silence at this point.

By undoing the last performed action, audio playback returns to normal. To restore the waveform view I have to click another clip then click back on the clip in question.

I'm running Live 8.0.4 on OSX 10.5.

So is anyone else having these kind of issues? It's not happening every time, but fairly often, enough to become irritating when warping anything over a couple of files.

edit - any chance this could be related to the files being stored on an external drive? everything else runs off this drive reliably, but after quickly testing some flac files stored on my local disk the problem seems to be happening less when warping these.
