live 8.04 freezes on export audio/video

Every 2nd or 3rd attempt on saving (export audio/video)...live 8.04 just freezes and never give me the window location where to save the file I want to export. That little colorful mac circle keeps turning and turning. I did try waiting long, like 10-15 min, but I never get that window location to save and must double(twice) "force quit" and restart

I'm on mac OS 10.4.11, no soundcard

maybe someone had the same problem and found a trick, besides upgrading to Leopard, which I will after finishing this project, but a crash at every 2nd try to export slows me down lots

I had the same problem and found that by saving the project just before the export, it wouldn't crash. I haven't done it often enough to say that it works 100% of the time but so far it is good enough. I am also using 10.4.11

Doesn't work for me either way. Regardless of whether I save before I exportor after export, Live then freezes. Just started happening a few months ago for no apparent reason. I then have to kill Live and wait 5-6 minutes before it frees up my sound device. M-Audio Delta1010.

I have Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1. I'm running Live in a 32-bit environment.
