I'm eagerly awaiting my boxed version of Live 8. In the meantime, I'm using downtime between classes to get reacquainted with the program. I'm running through a bunch of the tutorials just to get up to speed on some of the new features.
Okay, I loaded the "instrument" guided tour, and it tells me to open the "piano-keys" simpler device. Um, I don't have a simpler device for that, and I've loaded all the packs that Ableton sent me the links to in the email they sent me. I'm going to try it out loading another preset, or maybe just watch the movie. Is there maybe some data on the 14 gigs the disks I'm getting not included with the downloaded version? Is the tutorial in need of an update?
Maybe I'll just watch the movies, but I'd like to be able to follow along.
