Hello,
I am currently evaluating Ableton Live for live playback and midi performance control in Session Mode.
We're looking into the possibility of sending multiple program change midi events within the SAME midi clip.
Our need is to control multiple synthesizers (with different midi out ports of course) and midi program changes (through multiple midi outputs) during the playback of the song without touching Ableton Live nor taking the hands off keyboards.
I am well aware of the program message the midi clip sends everytime it is played, I am asking if there is a way to actually trigger midi program change events within the same piece of midi messages. I tried to edit a midi from scratch with another sequencer (which allows midi event list editing) but when played back in Live it doesn't send any message but the one set in the midi clip.
Thank you in advance,
Program Change Capabilities

Re: Program Change Capabilities
not that i know of,
your best bet would to look into follow actions
all you would have to do is launch scene 1 and then have a separate track for each synth you are sending to, after X amount of bars (for each clip) it would switch over to the next clip as per the instructions in your follow actions
this is the only way i know of to do this

Re: Program Change Capabilities
Good suggestion, thank you. Might work, a bit paranoid though
