It is likely that Live 7 will also be compatible but we can't promise it before internal tests are finished.
So, given some doubt, is it equally likely that it won't be? You cannot be serious about the possibility that 7 won't be compatible. Surely you would not expect all Mac users on 7 who want to use Snow Kitty to upgrade to Live 8?
So what about LE users. Is there a V8 planned or is it likely that we have to choose between 7LE and OSX 10.6?

iMac - 10.10.3 - Live 9 Suite - APC40 - Axiom 61 - TX81z - Firestudio Mobile - Focal Alpha 80's - Godin Session - Home made foot controller

Dude I think a lot of Abe decisions regarding feature with-holding and pricing are bullshit, but come on. They aren't going to reverse engineer previous versions for the new OS.

It will work fine. 8 works fine here on SL, I'm sure 7 does as well. They're just covering bases.

I'd lay the responsibility for any problems with Apple, rather than with developers, (though I would like to see this work).
Say what you like about Windows, but backwards compatibility is one of its great strengths (to Microsofts cost, sometimes). I wouldn't be surprised if you could run Live 8 on Windows 98. Try it with OS 9.
