Hi, I usually don't speak up much but I had a little curiosity.
I still use Live 7, had a few bugs, no stability problems. I have dodged Live 8 because...well, you know... the word on the street. And my buddy is having problems with it as well, his 7 is rock solid.
I was thinking about how picky pro-tools rigs can be when it comes to chipsets, bus bandwidth, ram, etc. I always go the the digi forums when im building my rigs. Always rock solid. Ableton has always been much more forgiving on a wide range of systems( or so it seems)...
So, what I was pondering... for WHATEVER reason without breaking into too much anything technically. Under the hood of Ableton, could it be on the path to simply being a more demanding DAW which requires a much more solid system for audio than before? Im skipping 8 like Vista cuz 7 still rocks my world. But I would be curious to know how many people run Pro-Tools with rock solid stability and still have problems with Live 8. I have been really happy with Live 7 on my system since I built it last year.

How many of you with Live 8 problems also run PT?
Re: How many of you with Live 8 problems also run PT?
I'm one of the people that run both without issues. Got a 002 on Vista and run that with Live 8. Can't get the Digi piece of crap to work on Windows 7, which is what I primarily use on my other PC. Actually, I run Windows 7 x64, but I can't see Digidesign supporting that any time soon. I run Live 8 on that machine in 32bit with no issues.
