Live 4 Auditioning crash?!?

Every time i go to audition files in my samples folder, after auditioning about three or four sounds with barely any files up on my arrangement, Live crashes. Mostly only happens on my Powerbook and not my tower. Is it because my powerbook drive is slower? i mean it's just simple drumj sounds we're talking here. I 've got the performance set to highest nd even the latency the latest and i still get these problems any suggestions?
