RAM requirments for 4

Post by breenerino » Sun Sep 05, 2004 3:04 am

My old Live 2 sessions will not open in 4. The program boots, then I get an error Type 2 message followed by a crash. My old live 2 session are loaded with alot of 2 to 4 minute samples....and I can run 4 but only with less samples. Do I just need more RAM?? I know live plays sample from disk so memory may not be the problem.

Hello breenerino,

Unfortunately you don´t mention how much RAM you have.
Do you use OS 9?

Best,

Hello Breenerino,

There are several possible scenarios i can think of.
Try to increase the memory allocation for your Live application.
(select the Live application in the Finder and use the "get info" dialogue).
If this does not help, boot your Mac with the standard OS 9 systemextension settings.

Best,
