creating loops

I would like to know, you you Live users create your loops for working with it in Live? What software would you recommend (ReCycle...?)? Thanks for the impressions.

i would say some' like 'Peak' anything that can cut and paste edit wave not just loop. and recycle could work too but it functions more as a loop slicer, though. just an opinion.

i actually use live to make quite a few of my loops. i just use the arranger view to drag and drop individual drum hits. live just lets you mangle/stretch/pitch/destroy audio like no other program, allowing rhythms that you'd have a hard time emulating in any other program. true, it's not the easiest program for actually building beats from scratch, i use a program called muzys for anything that involves more sequencing than audio manipulation. i haven't found a super cool simple little audio editing program for snippin' and clippin' me beats though. anyone found the perfect little (preferably free or shareware) audio editor for os9?

Peak 3.0 is great for looping.
It has a a thing called "loop surfer" and "loop tuner" that make things a snap as well as tempo guessing.

If you cant afford Peak try Amadeus which as the best thing for the money ($25.00).
