Mapping a VST Audio Output to two BUS's

Post by j4yj4y » Fri Sep 11, 2009 5:40 pm

As the topic states, I was wondering if there was a way to map the audio output from a VST to two BUS's. Basically, I have a piece that has a piano line in it (Midi Triggered to NI AcoustikPiano). I would like to be able to create two additional audio tracks and send a clean signal to both of them, put an effect on one of those and then rejoin them at a third audio channel for compression, etc. The only way I've been able to accomplish this so far is by having two VST's with the same Midi Triggers going to the two Audio channels (One to each) and then mixing those together. Seems like a waste of CPU to me though. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi j4yj4y,

simply route the audio to the other tracks by choosing the track containing the plug-in in the other tracks´ "audio from" section, make sure to set monitor to "in" for both tracks.

Best,
