This site lets you calculate the difference in hertz between notes, really useful for drum tuning etc....

hmmmmm you can also use spectrum , wich will tell you when you drag with the mouse wich note is wich hz

btw the website also works when it's locally saved... just in case anyone else has a music computer that isn't online

Yeah you can see the frequency but calculating the difference between specific notes isn't quite as straight forward. Doing it manually can be a bit frustrating when you need to know each note's freq and then subtract one from the other (especially when u you do it a lot in your track).

Another thing to watch out for is that Ableton have decided to put their middle A-440hz on A3 instead of what is commonly known as A4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A440

This calculator website uses A4-440hz, so does my Peterson strobe tuner and other FFT plugins I have.

So watch out when using the spectrum device! you need to always add an octave to what you see!
Why ableton had to be awkward I'll never know?
