External Instrument/Effect with Lexicon MX400

Post by Pantytec » Tue Sep 15, 2009 7:54 pm

Has anyone tried this or have any input how this would work?

If you don't know about the MX400 you can read about it here:

Is the External Instrument or Effect any benefit with the Lexicon MX400
or this feature overlapping and redundant?

thanks!

I'm using the External Effect audio effect with my mx200. It is very useful and I'm very happy with it because otherwise I'd have to set two return tracks if you want to use mono-split routing and an additionaly two audio track for routing back the external signal. Do this twice for your mx400 with 4 processors instead 2. And you still can't set any latency compensation, so have the bounce the effect track first.
With External Effect you just place the effect on a track where you need a effect, set the latency (you will hear the right setting by switching off/on the External Effect) and here you go. If you want to route more tracks thru a effect track just place the External Effect on a return track.

Just tell, if you want to know more about it.
