Bugs in Rewire with Cubase SX 1.06 and Live 4.01 Not fixed!
Bugs in Rewire with Cubase SX 1.06 and Live 4.01 Not fixed!
Seems to me we still have a big problem running Cubase SX as master and Live as slave then using the export to audio function to lay your tracks down in Cubase.
The simple trick to bringing your tracks from Live into Cubase is to Export Audio to track after you have setup your rewire session of course. I found this on the ableton site. In my experience all my tracks that become imported are silent in certain areas or have other wave data from another track in live that i did not want to export. I have spent most of my morning looking for the answer and trying several things today. If anyone knows the fix or if Ableton is aware that this feature is useless please let me know.

I have a really good handle on routing coming from a Hardware background and i understand software very well since thats what i do for a living now. I have heard some reports of these issues in SX 2 and Nuendo so im a not sure about spending $200 to fix this problem from Ableton. As of this time there is no Version 3 from cubase.
Im pretty sure i will not find the answer here but thought i would have a little faith and see.

It's not the Abletons' problem - it works fine with SX 2.2. Your problem is most likely the incredibly buggy SX 1.06. If you can wait, the estimated delivery date for the SX3 upgrade is only two weeks away (if you order now).deep6ixx wrote:if Ableton is aware that this feature is useless please let me know.
I don't think upgrading SX will help - there are still problems in SX2.2. But I don't think it's host specific either, there's a problem acknowledged by the Abletons in this thread when rendering faster than real time:
