Tempo adjustments - Live 8.05 glitches..
Hello - I have ableton live 8.05 on a Macbook pro running OSX 10.4 and an RME fireface 400 soundcard - When i change tempo in live the sound clicks and stutters. If i try to change tempo using automation in the arrangement window it slows the sound right down and glitches really badly. I also have a copy of Live 7.016 and the problem doesn't appear here - Just wondered if any of you were aware of this problem or have a workaround. Thanks for your time - al

Hi Al,
which audio buffer size do you use? Does selecting a higher buffer get rid of the glitches?
Can you reproduce the problem also with your Mac´s internal soundcard?
Best,
Jörg

Re: Tempo adjustments - Live 8.05 glitches..
I am having the same problem with an rme fireface 800. I had emailed ableton tech support back and forth for ages and nothing worked. Similarly, when I was using ableton 7, no problems...only till 8. The glitches and pops happen when dragging new tracks in when adjusting tempo, sometimes when doing nothing at all. Glad to see someone else is experiencing this, as tech ableton tech support said I was the only one who had an issue with an rme interface and live 8.

Hello,
Just a thought:
Note that there are certain effects (mostly delays and reverbs) which do not like tempo changes (e.g. the Simple Delay in "jump" mode) or a couple of VST´s because they don´t have a fade for their delays....
Best,
Christian
