How to report Latency

Post by djod » Sat Sep 26, 2009 1:58 pm

I'm fooling around with the Tconvoltion external from http://www.zippernoise.net/data/
And it (sadly) has a fixed latency of 8192 samples (due to patent problems, it could 0)

So I wonder how to overcome this problem, I've manually set a track-delay, but that's not the best way.
The question is can a max device report latency to live? If yes, How..

I don't know if it works but I found something called "expected latency" in the patcher inspector, but I can't find any mention of it anywhere, I'm guessing if its what we're looking for, you're supposed to specify the latency in samples, no?

He Cool, that's it! The latency should indeed be entered in samples!

Great!
