Cannot configure reaktor Metaphysical Funtion paramaters!

Post by coi » Fri Oct 02, 2009 7:26 am

My problem is out of all the ensembles i have this one doesn't allow me to configure (using the plugin configure option) any of the functions of it directly to map it to a macro in ableton. I can however enable midi in the reaktor track and use midi learn in reaktor and send a midi note that then controls the random button. So it can be controlled but not through ableton only directly with the midi learn function in reaktor. Any ideas???

I'm using a macbook pro with live 8.0.3 running on Leopard 10.5.7

please help asap as i need to use this for a project for a sound installation

Thanks

I think this is because there are so many automation ids in Metaphysical Function.
The ones that are numerically less than 128 can be automated.
You can renumber the automation ids, but I never did that so I can't help.

Bump...I'm currently running into the same problem. I thought Live 8 was supposed to fix the 128 parameter limit???? It's one of the main reasons I upgraded! Is that not the case?

Problem solved. Live 8 *can* do more than 128, even with Metaphysical Function (MF). It's just that MF has automation "Hide Name" active by default. To fix go to the main instrument properties, and on the 4th page, under Automation, make sure "Hide Name" is unchecked.

And also you need to make sure the Max ID is set to a value higher than whatever the maximum ID in the instrument is. You might want to Compress IDs first. But this I knew already--the "Hide Name" issue was the tricky one. See this thread:
