Hi all, firstly,
Does sampler let you assign an effect for individual Sample?
We have a mass of samples that we currently load into and trigger from tracks in AL6. Each sample is then assigned to start when we press key on midi keyboard.
We just activate the track with the sample when we want to use it. This way we can give each sample with audio effects if needed. However we feel this isnt the best work flow to do this (especially whe there is 40 or so samples. How else could we achieve a decent workflow for triggering samples via midi keyboard but assign effects for individual samples if needed?
Samples need to be triggered on the fly.
Thankyou!

Err... not sure where to start+can't remember what was going on in 6. Basically create a midi channel and drag the instrument rack preset to it. Get the rack to show the device chain view (probably the button beneath the AbleRune)and drag samplers/simplers in there. Drag the soundfile into the waveform window of the simpler/sampler device, then adjust the keyrange for that device to a single note--- using the key button to access that menu. It is easier with samplers because you adjust the root note or change the keystretch range to 0%. Its well worth checking out the manual on this.

if you are going in single notes
the drum rack can also be used for this kind of thing...and all the racking is done for you
just put each note on each labeled note in the rack and play it like you would any other keyboard

Elegant solution!
I'm only just starting to use racks... they make things a LOT simpler.
