Importing MIDI to Live 7 Arrangement View

WHen I import a MIDI track with patch changes in the middle anywhere, they are not recognized, and the track keeps the first program change only. I need to 'stack' tracks occasionally and play different patches at different points in the song. For live applications, this means changing the patch for certain tracks mid-song. I can fix this manually in Live 7, but would prefer not to, and just have ALL the track parameters (including ALL patch changes) import into Live 7
