first of all, i have to state that recently, i have installed another graphic card so as to have dual screen.
so here's what just happened: i was working on a new project with kontakt and trilogy. this project was created using a home-made template (which is a .als file, not the default live template). i had made some changes in trilogy and kontakt without saving my work (ok, my bad).
suddenly, a small transparent squared appeared under the mouse pointer, and followed its movements. but this was only on the screen were Live was displayed, in the other one (with kontakt), all was ok.
and then, the computer display froze: audio was still playing, but i didn't see the mouse pointer anymore, and i couldn't type anything (Alt-F4, Ctrl-Alt-Del... nothing would work, but audio was still playing).
so i decided to hard-reboot the computer.
when opening Live again, it asked if i wanted to recover the file i was working on, i said ok, and the file opened fine, except that all the changes made in trilogy and kontakt were lost. meaning i had an empty kontakt rack, and trilogy was set to default.
i am very disappointed, since i made lots of changes on these VSTis. so my question is: why wasn't the VSTis data saved with the .als file?
anyway, all this is quite strange, i don't know if this is due to my new cheap graphic card, to Live or to both...
i'm going to invistigate a bit more, i'll keep you updated.
