Hi,
I'm having this problem with the combination of Live 8.05 and the RME fireface 800.
When i'm going out of sleep mode and put in my Fireface so that it's mixer starts up and then I start up Live, Live won't start up. It hangs seriously, I cannot quit it not even force quit it. I have to force shut down the computer!
Then when I start up the computer, then the interface, then Live, it all works well.
An other way of starting up (first Live, then the interface, then choosing the fireface in the audio prefs of Live), it's the same problem.
I have the newest driver from RME for Snow Leopard, but it seems not to work very well yet.
I'll send this message also to RME support, and I hope there's a solution, since I'm doing a theatre show right now.....

I'm experiencing the same things, with Live 8.0.9 and a Fireface. Have you found any solutions to this problem? Hoping RME will release another driver to address this ...

of course you guys both know that Snow Leopard isn't officially supported by Ableton yet right? Just saying it's a gamble to use new OS's on your DAW workstation without official support. I'm excited to use Snow Leopard too, but I'm tired of problems that early adaptors have.

RME posted a new driver a week a go, but that didn't solve the problem yet. I'm sure they are working on it.luddy wrote:I'm experiencing the same things, with Live 8.0.9 and a Fireface. Have you found any solutions to this problem? Hoping RME will release another driver to address this ...

The reason that I'm using Snow Leopard is, that my new 17" Macbook had it installed, so no choice for me there.....

Suck, well maybe an Ableton update fixes it? They probably will release one when they OK Snow Leopard.maarthel wrote:RME posted a new driver a week a go, but that didn't solve the problem yet. RME are usually pretty good about fixing problems, normally they're on top of it just like Ableton.
