Using Launchpad as 4 octave keyboard
Using Launchpad as 4 octave keyboard
reckon it will be possible? I see you can already trigger impulse it could be a cool way of making music on the fly.
Re: Using Launchpad as 4 octave keyboard
Or even better, if you could also easily define the notes sent by the various pads yourself, you could always stay within
the correct scale! I know skilled keyboard players will frown upon the idea, but it would be a great and entertaining way
of just tapping in notes for those of us who have a basic understanding of scales and keys and why some notes go together
and others don't but who don't have the skill to actually play a regular keyboard.

Its layout is currently best suited for Drum Racks. As for custom layouts, you could simply use a MIDI Rack to remap notes.sporkles wrote:Or even better, if you could also easily define the notes sent by the various pads yourself, you could always stay within

Can the launchpad be used with the full version of ableton live or only with the stripped worn version?
I checked the hw controller list in live 8 but there is no launchpad in it.
Thanks!

Oh yeah it will definitely work with the full version and maybe even 7, I'm not sure. The stripped down version is a joke IMO, and the controller list isn't a list of the only things supported by Live, if you're talking about the list in the MIDI preferences..Mineral Walter wrote:Can the launchpad be used with the full version of ableton live or only with the stripped worn version?

Yeah it would be a great thing. And a refreshing way to play instead of using the traditional midikeyboard.sporkles wrote:Or even better, if you could also easily define the notes sent by the various pads yourself, you could always stay within
