I have a very important show coming up on the 30th (an sts9 afterparty) and 8.0.5 just started acting very strangely.
Problem 1: Sometimes when I open one particular song, none of the tracks will make it out to the master channel although you can see that they are playing by looking at the metering for each individual track.
Problem 2: This one happened for the first time today at practice. In this song, I use two different midi synth sounds, and then trigger a vocal sample for a transition into the second part. All goes well until i trigger the sample, when a terrible screeching noise begins playing. The weird thing is, the screeching is actually coming from a midi synth track with no clips and without me pressing any keys on my midi controller. If i un-arm the track and then re-arm it, the screeching stops...
Problem 3: For this song, I begin by triggering a synth loop, and then slowly add a pad loop, glitchy noises loop, bass loop, and then trigger scene two and the rest of my band comes in. Whenever I trigger the very first loop in scene one, all the clips in scene one begin playing. Pressing the stop clips button does nothing, and pressing the global stop button actually triggers scene one again! I use a padkontrol to trigger all these samples in our music, so I thought I would try deleting the midi mapping for this song. That fixed all the problems! But I have to be able to use my padkontrol in this song....
So as you can see I am very frustrated with Ableton right now, and would like to go back to 7 for this show but I'm gonna have to make sure all my sets are backwards compatible. Is there anywhere to download 8.0.1 through 8.0.4 so I can see if that is the problem?
Very weird problems in 8.0.5 need help FAST!

Hi aus9,
please send a copy of the problematic set (just the .als file) to [email protected] for further diagnosis of problem 1&2. Regarding problem 3: if you re-map your Padkontrol, can you still reproduce the problem?
Best,
Jörg
