Specific Mapping Question for a Novation SL Zero or 25

Underneath each slider on these Novations are two buttons. The upper button normally maps to the track activator function but I can't get the bottom button to map to anything. I'm trying for the life of me to get it to map to the stop function for each track in ableton. Anybody have a novation sl zero or 25 that can shed some light? I've gotten everything else to map but these buttons. and it's happening on both the zero and 25, as I have both. Novation has failed to issue me a reply in over 3 weeks.

When I was using automap the bottom button would toggle between the sends of the track, then the volume controller controlled those sends until I pressed the button on the right of the volume faders.

I quit using automap because from what I can tell it is ok at best w/out getting the 'pro' version. I much prefer just manually mapping everything in my own template.

well, i'm not sure if it is an automap issue as I have remapped other things that are normally automap functions to work with regular old mapping while automap is on. Anyone else? There must be an answer to this, and it is probably pretty obvious.

PS - how do i turn off automap?

To get out of automap just exit out of the program and then change the template on the novation to one of the user defined ones. I think they are labeled User1 and User2 to start.
